Cohiba Macassar Toro Grande cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic with a Connecticut Havano wrapper and a combination of premium Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers that have been aged four years. In the final year, the tobacco is fermented in fragrant rum barrels, this adds a smoky vanilla taste and aroma to rich notes of wood, pepper, leather, and earth. The cigar held a firm white ash down to the nub, and the construction was flawless. Macassar Toro Grande is yet another magnificent offering from Cohiba that has found a permanent home in my favorite humidor.
